Shauna Isaac is an art historian whose expertise spans a wide array of subjects. A specialist in Nazi looted art, she has worked with families, law firms, and government bodies to secure the return of art taken during World War II. She founded the Central Registry of Looted Cultural Property and served on the advisory board of the European Shoah Legacy Institute, shaping international policy on restitution. Building on this work, she expanded her research to examine the histories of looting and recovery affecting Indigenous cultures in Asia, Africa, and South America.
Shauna has lectured at University of Oxford and University of Cambridge as well as given talks for corporations including Google and Microsoft. She has been published in several periodicals and contributed to a number of academic books on Nazi looted art. Shauna studied at the Courtauld Institute of Art and Smith College.
